My first instinct was not that I needed to do something impressive like ganache or truffles with this lovely chocolate... My first instinct was to
make a brownie, and simple as it may sound, it was a great way to really taste the
cocoa's deep, intense
flavor through a really simple recipe.
Second, this cake uses unsweetened (natural)
cocoa powder (not Dutch processed) which has an intense bitter
flavor that
makes it well suited for use in this chocolate cake.
All the
flavors and textures are here: lovely graham crust
made from real graham crackers, with a hint of cinnamon and a slight crunch, sweet, creamy milk chocolate ganache with a hint of deep
cocoa, and puffy, browned marshmallows to round it out.
I am soaking hazelnuts right now to
make it with my home
made hazelnut milk because this just screams «Nutella»
flavor to me;) I have the raw
cocoa powder and maple syrup and can't wait to try this!!
