Chocolate has received a great deal of press
in the past few years as research has unfolded just how
high the levels of
antioxidants are in cocoa, which you can read about
in my recipe for chocolate spice bliss balls.
And lastly raw cacao butter
is the pure cold pressed oil of the
cocoa bean and
is very
high in antioxidants.

cocoa are high in iron and nutrition, not to mention excellent sources of fiber and

cocoa mass polyphenol (CMP), which, from what I've gleaned from various studies and articles,
is an
antioxidant that
is protective against the formation of various cancer cells and can help prevent CVD.
Or you could dig up some unsweetened baker's chocolate, which
is high in antioxidants and
is basically just
cocoa mass formed into bars.
The raw
antioxidant total of a
cocoa bean
is among the
higher in nature and even with roasting, fermenting and sun drying, the total found
in a dark chocolate bar remains huge.
Warning: make sure you buy 80 % or
higher dark chocolate, because the
antioxidants and minerals
are concentrated
in the
cocoa powder.
And
cocoa is antioxidant rich, with a flavanoid content that appears to
be helpful
in protecting blood vessel linings and thus preventing
high blood pressure.
