frosting can be embellished with
coconut cream, nut
butter, vanilla, mint, and lots of other things but this is the most basic recipe that I start from.
My
frosting requires two cups of
coconut butter and, if it is a little work to do, I want to make sure I'm only doing it once Thanks!
I used several small bowls to dip the
coconut - and sprinkle - covered cupcakes into, but for the most part I used one bowl to mix the rest of the
frostings, simply wiping or rinsing the bowl out between batches and leaving the dark - colored cocoa powder and nut
butter frostings until the end.
For a nut free
frosting option, substitute the 1/4 cup of almond
butter for 1/4 cup softened
coconut butter.
And yes, because
coconut oil turns to liquid at a lower temp than
butter, this
frosting does get a bit dicey a higher temps.

frosting, you barely need to sweeten it with that natural coconutty flavor too!
