Hi Molly, cacao
butter is really great to use in this
recipe as it binds the mixture together and has a chocolately taste but you could also try using
coconut oil instead!
I couldn't find date syrup, so I used
coconut syrup, which I bought for one of your other
recipes and seeing as it only required a little almond
butter, I made my own.

The
recipe you have for
coconut milk requires 3/4 c. water to 2 tbsp of the cream /
butter which turns out to be quite economical compared to buying the canned milk.
I may add some
coconut oil for creaminess, to match the other
butters for the
recipes, but that's ok.
Rather than using sour cream or
butter like in most twice baked
recipes,
coconut cream is used.
The link in the

coconut oil as a replacement for

So I flipped through my Everyday Paleo cookbook and found a basic
recipe for paleo - friendly
butter chicken using
coconut milk instead.

coconut oil but also substitutes honey for sugar.
For this
recipe or any others, you simply replace the
