coconut flour work?
Hello Renee I am following a Keto way of eating, would Almond or
Coconut flour work the same as the White Rice / Tapioca flour?
So I try to do all my baking sugar free and grain free - hazelnut and almond flour, and
coconut flour all work great!

I think
the coconut flour works fine but I make a roux out of it.
Coconut flour works well as a thickening agent in recipes, due to its high absorbency and fiber content.
Coconut flour works wonders for raw cakes!
For those of you new to cooking with coconut flour, it can be tricky to work with unless you understand how
coconut flour works and behaves.
I substituted a few things... pecans and peanut butter to replace almonds,
some coconut flour works great when short on flaxmeal, no vanila due to allergy and Earth Balance for half of coconut oil and they are so good they disappear in half a day.
You can use coconut flour in place of arrowroot powder if needed (I believe twice as much
coconut flour works).
The almond flour will definitely make them less pliable —
coconut flour works well as an alternative and seems to keep them together better if you're using them as a wrap.
When you first start baking with coconut flour, I recommend using only coconut flour recipes, that way you will fully understand how
coconut flour works when baking with it!
Coconut flour works well in gluten - free baked goods, but I have avoided coconut flour.

coconut flour but I think using the exact same amount would
work fine.
I didn't have quite enough ground almonds so I used 100g fine oatmeal so I think gluten free
flour would
work weak too, you might need a bit more
coconut oil and / or water though.

I haven't tried specifically for this recipe, but usually it
works fine to substitute the almond
flour with 1/3 of the quantity in
coconut flour, since the
coconut flour absorbs more moisture than almond
flour.
I think
coconut flour might not
work as it needs a lot of extra liqued as
coconut flour is very absorbent.
Same story with
coconut and arrowroot
flour... neither of which are available here... I was thinking os using oat
flour or almond meal, or a mix of the 2... would it

Although you can use all - purpose
flour with no problem, I've found that white spelt
flour (German type 630)
works better with the
coconut oil version.
If you're
working with anyone that has a nut allergy then omit the ground almonds and use a little under 1/4 cup additional
coconut flour.

flour or

You can also really use whatever
flour suits your fancy (within reason — no,
coconut flour will not

There are recipes out there that use a combination of
coconut flour and almond
flour and I've found those

flour, it still

works really well here.
Maybe try another couple egg with a little
coconut flour... totally guessing, but it might be worth re-working this recipe to

Once yuca dough has cooled, assess the texture — cooled it should be a workable dough — if it is still too sticky to
work with by hand, add in the optional
coconut flour, 1 tablespoon at a time until you can
work with the dough more easily
Alternatively if almond
flour doesn't
