dessert person, and I typically prefer something warm, either of the decadently chocolate - y or fruit - streusel - y variety.

When I flip through the pages, I imagine myself
in their kitchen to drink
coffee or have dinner, perhaps some
dessert.

They are hard and crunchy because they are twice - cooked («bis» is Italian for twice and «cotti» means cooked) and perfect for dipping

coffee (although apparently true Italians only dip them
in Vin Santo, a sweet
dessert wine, not
coffee).
I drink my
coffee black, but when I want it iced or am
in the mood for «
dessert coffee» as I call it, then I reach for a favorite flavored creamer.

dessert, and even great first thing

coffee.
We booked a table at Big Sur Bakery and Restaurant for dinner where we enjoyed large plates of salad, blistered shishito peppers, wood - fired pizzas topped with creamy greens, a couple of bottles of white Bourgogne, and two exquisite
desserts: a lemon ice cream pie
in a pistachio crust with lemon curd, and a warm flourless brownie topped with crunchy walnuts and
coffee ice cream.

in the morning, a delicate lovely treat to bring with you whenever you find yourself craving for chocolate, and of course a lovely small
dessert to serve with a coconut milk yogurt sauce and some fresh berries.

This makes a great
dessert that you can make ahead of time too keep
in the fridge or even freeze so you have a great
dessert ready when a spontaneous guest comes over for
