Mr. LeWitt, 75, started collecting stamps when he was 9 and, later, as a soldier stationed in Japan during the Korean War,
collected woodblock prints.
The collection has grown and evolved to
collect more expansively and in ways that support curriculum across disciplines, and it now holds over 5,000 objects including select and growing holdings of contemporary Chinese art, pre-Columbian art, Japanese
woodblock prints, and African art, to name a few areas.
