Donning a vintage Edwardian
skirt paired with a simple knotted scarf, Anneleen proved the perfect model for the daring

The key to wearing
floral in the fall is to tone it down with darker or neutral
colored bottoms, whether it be a
skirt, shorts or jeans.
The light, champagne -
colored underlay is beautifully accentuated by a matching
floral crochet pattern and a sheer
skirt, while the black ribbon sash that garnishes your waistline provides the perfect finishing touch.
This summer are becoming fashionable maxi
skirts in
floral prints, or in a single
color, but surely the materials should be very thin.
If you still want to tone down the prints and
colors of your
floral skirt, you can accessorize your outfit with pieces that have darker and deeper
colors as well.
The neutral
color and loose fit of your top would easily tone down the bold prints and
colors of your
floral skirt, even more so if paired with other neutral - hued accessories such as a handbag, a hat, and what have you.

I wore a maximal belt,
floral necklace, and patterns in the plaids of jacket and
skirt, stripe tee, equestrian scarf with some yellow plus black and white, and
color block black / white bag.
You can pick out a small
color featured in the scarf and use it to tie another element together (such as if you went with a dark green
skirt here instead of a simple navy one), to help you decide what
color shoes to wear (you could easily go with beige heels with these light
colors, but I pulled out the black in the scarf to go with basic black pumps), or even start to play with patterns, such as if we'd mixed a pinstriped

floral scarf.
