I hada
dressing from Raw Girls in Memphis that was whitish in
color and sort
of reminded me
of ranch but not
quite.
I bend and break this one myself
quite a bit as I know that
color is one
of the most emotional elements
of dressing.
Since the kids work on the breakfast table
quite a bit, the gray DIY
dresser holds all
of their crafts, workbooks,
coloring books, etc..
I
dressed it
quite feminine with the navy cigaret - pants, but I could totally see myself with this top, and the
color - coordinated skirt or a pair
of flared jeans, and platform sandals.
I have
quite a number
of pink
dresses but do not even own one pink bottom, which partly explains why I have not attempted this
color combination until now.
Quite a few
of the minimalist
dressers resort to a very limited
color palette or a very similar style all the time.
The wrap around shape
of the
dress is super flattering creating an hour glass shape, and the contrast
of those
colors over the dark blue background is
quite stunning.
The solid
color of the
dress helps to temper the pleats and I found myself
quite pleased with how the
dress looks.
With turquoise being my favorite
color and blue in a close second, I have
quite a variety
of blue
dresses that I believe flatter a broader spectrum
of women than the
colors of red, purple, green, etc..
I bought this
dress, in both
of the
colors it came in, and I love both
of them... I got
quite a few compliments from people I was with and even strangers commented on it too!
I've seen several renditions
of Union Jack
dressers in traditional
colors (varying
colors of blue) but after I had originally seen it by Miss Mustard Seed, I really felt no one achieved perfection
quite like she had with Sherwin Williams paints.
