Unlike
in most Artifex Mundi titles, some
inventory objects (marked with a plus sign next to them) can be manipulated; opened, twisted or
combined with other
items.
To do so you need to gather different type of
items and
combine them
in your
inventory to unlock weapons that will take out the different enemies quicker than your first weapon
in the game which is basically just a stick.
There is an
inventory system
in place that, once again just involves clicking to grab it then clicking to use it, with game often handling
combining items so you don't have too.
Combine various clothing
items, equipment and carry all of the
items that you will need to survive the harsh new environment
in the open and intuitive
inventory system developed to answer the needs of crafting and character customization.
There are
inventory items that will need other
inventory items combined or the
item itself needs repaired and you can opt to either show which
items require this extra step with a + sign indicator (
in custom setting) I have to give kudos to the Hidden Object Scenes, they are just as unique as the last game.
In the non-VR version you just swipe up the
inventory and click the
item to interact or highlight and click it onto another
item to
combine the two.
Also, the game features puzzles that require you to
combine inventory items, another gameplay mechanic that is common
in past games from LucasArts but absent
in previous games from Telltale Games.
