I know that a bigger percentage
of Arsenal fans than ever before would
like to see the
end of Arsene Wenger's reign as the manager
of Arsenal Football Club as soon as possible, but if it
came down to a choice between having a new man in charge next
season or winning the Europa League this year then I am sure that percentage would be much smaller.
Come the other year when Arsenal went the whole season without a defeat in the Premier League, Barcelona were attracted by Marc Overmas and Emmanue Petti, the two joined Barcelona, they played few games, and sometime on the bench, as a result Emmanue Petti decided to go back to England and joined New - Castle and always regret leaving Arsenal, then the other year it was Alexander Hleb, he was the best dribller in Arsenal team, he went again to Barcelona, he was never given some games, I think he only played few games as a sub, and his carrier was destroyed by Barcelona, then come Henry, he again went to Barcelona, he played some games but not like he used to do at Arsenal, he was not looking like a star player anymore, he decided to go to America, then there was Fabrigas, he joined Barcelona again, since he was one of their juniors, I think he played for two seasons, and supporter used to booing him, he decided to come back to Arsenal, by then Arsenal had already resplaced him with Ozil, and he joined Chelsea, then come Alexander Song, he pushed to go to Barcelona, he was always on the banch, and never been on first eleven, then he ended up regreting joing Barcelona, and wanted to go back to Arsenal, but normally Wenger do not take players who pushed themselves to be out of Arsenal, lastly there was Vermuleen, he went to Barcelona and ended up not playing at all but when playing for Arsenal they used to be star play

Typically these periods in past few
seasons has seen us chasing the top table team with average
of 10 points, then
comes our
end of season charge which has seen us having more points than any other epl team in the final two months
of the
season over the past few years as well. This is mostly due to injuries plaguing key members our team around this period every year, apparently we've gone through our rough mid
season patch again or might still be going through seeing as we have list some key players
like carzola, bellerin to injuries again.
Ferguson left on his own, as Guradiola,

Have to admit i
liked this Article as does point out some good things we are doing that i had forgot about

come the

Like it or hate it wenger has the funds to create a winning squad if he does not win either prem or cl before the
end of his contract then I think is fair for all the fans who are tired
of the same thing
season in and
season out that wenger retires and let new manager
come in.
I just can't believe that we have become a joke we always start the
season well then have a bumpy December and by the time Feb
comes our form has taken a dip and we get kicked out
of all competitions except for that valuable top 4 that the board loves so much... ultimately if Arsenal want to compete again we need changes from the bottom up... Kroenke and his board need to go cause clearly for them profits matter more than trophies... Wenger needs to go for his lack
of tactical naus guy has been using the same fornation since I was in high school and I'm doing my honours in accounting now... our medical team must all go our players always get injured and they never
come back in time (take a look at Santi) players
like Coquelin Theo Mesut Gabriel Gibbs Giroud just to name a few need to go they're just not good enough seriously these players lack fight tactical Discipline and tactical awareness... at the
end of the day change needs to happen things can't keep going
like this for us....

I

3 League titles / 6 Fa cups and constant champions league last 16odd years out
of 19 also but no matter what anyone says his time as our coach has
come to an
end even if we win the league which in fairness we have a great shot so going out
of Europe could help us win the league for Wenger to leave on a high
like fergie did... This has to be his last
season in charge along with Stan the Conman... Money needs put into this squad to get it to the next level and a different direction because in all honesty when we beat Bayern they just did nt take their chances
like they did last night and they already had a great squad and added to it in the summer with Costa etc... we had a real chance this year if we had brought in more than Cech and that is Wengers fault!
why was Sanchez truly playing... no one believes he was too injured to play to start the
season, and some
like myself would go as far to suggest he wasn't injured at all... so why play him... they can't say it was to appease the fans because when was that ever a factor at this club except when «panic buys» were in the offing... I believe that this was to give Arsenal a little leverage when it
comes to negotiating his transfer... just imagine their horrible bargaining position if Sanchez never saw the field before the deadline then heading back to South America and played for Chile... regardless
of the facts, this was sadly again another example
of a team putting business ahead
of fielding a team with the greatest chance to secure 3 points...
of course, some will say that Sanchez is, or was, our best player, so obviously he's a no - brainer to start, but those who really watch the game know that his heart hasn't been truly in it for quite some time... even at the
end of last
season you could see a definitive difference between the Sanchez who played for Chile and the one that played for Arsenal... that being said, 70 %
of Sanchez is still better than a 100 %
of the vast majority
of our remaining roster... shame on you Arsene and shame on you too Sanchez for that telling smirk... I've supported your attempt to push this squad to the next level but don't pretend for a second that you didn't know you were being watched... don't lower your standards or you'll
end up
like this club, on the outside looking in
It is part
of the reason why he done so well when he first joined and Coquelin was sitting back, if you look at the next
season then Elneny was sitting back and Coquelin was pushing forward and look how that CM pairing soon
came to an
end when played
like that.
I just do nt want the
end of next
season to
come around and we start to lose players
like sanchez and ozil because they want to win trophies,
like we lost fabregas and van persie.
This is an incredibly difficult question to answer for a variety
of reasons, most importantly because over the years our once vaunted «beautiful» style
of play has become a shadow
of it's former self, only to be replaced by a less than stellar «plug and play» mentality where players play out
of position and adjustments / substitutions are rarely forthcoming before the 75th minute... if you look at our current players, very few would make sense in the traditional Wengerian system... at present, we don't have the personnel to move the ball quickly from deep - lying position, efficient one touch midfielders that can make the necessary through balls or the disciplined and pacey forwards to stretch defences into wide positions, without the aid
of the backs
coming up into the final 3rd, so that we can attack the defensive lanes in the same clinical fashion we did years ago... on this current squad, we have only 1 central defender on staf, Mustafi, who seems to have any prowess in the offensive zone or who can even pass two zones through so that we can advance play quickly out
of our own
end (I have seen some inklings that suggest Holding might have some offensive qualities but too early to tell)... unfortunately Mustafi has a tendency to get himself in trouble when he gets overly aggressive on the ball... from our backs out wide, we've seen pace from the
likes of Bellerin and Gibbs and the spirited albeit offensively stunted play
of Monreal, but none
of these players possess the skill - set required in the offensive zone for the new Wenger scheme which requires deft touches, timely runs to the baseline and consistent crossing, especially when Giroud was playing and his ratio
of scored goals per clear chances was relatively low (better last year though)... obviously I
like Bellerin's future prospects, as you can't teach pace, but I do worry that he regressed last
season, which was obvious to Wenger because there was no way he would have used Ox as the right side wing - back so often knowing that Barcelona could
come calling in the off -
season, if he thought otherwise... as for our midfielders, not a single one, minus the more confident Xhaka I watched played for the Swiss national team a couple years ago, who truly makes sense under the traditional Wenger model... Ramsey holds onto the ball too long, gives the ball away cheaply far too often and abandons his defensive responsibilities on a regular basis (doesn't score enough recently to justify): that being said, I've always thought he does possess a little something special, unfortunately he thinks so too... Xhaka is a little too slow to ever boss the midfield and he tends to telegraph his one true strength, his long ball play: although I must admit he did get a bit better during some points in the latter part
of last
season... it always made me wonder why whenever he played with Coq Wenger always seemed to play Francis in a more advanced role on the pitch... as for Coq, he is way too reckless at the wrong times and has exhibited little offensive prowess yet finds himself in and around the box far too often... let's face it Wenger was ready to throw him in the trash heap when injuries forced him to use Francis and then he had the nerve to act
like this was all part
of a bigger Wenger constructed plan... he
like Ramsey, Xhaka and Elneny don't offer the skills necessary to satisfy the quick transitory nature
of our old offensive scheme or the stout defensive mindset needed to protect the defensive zone so that our offensive players can remain aggressive in the final third... on the front
end, we have Ozil, a player
of immense skill but stunted by his physical demeanor that tends to offend, the fact that he's been played out
of position far too many times since arriving and that the players in front
of him, minus Sanchez, make little to no sense considering what he has to offer (especially Giroud); just think about the quick counter-attack offence in Real or the space and protection he receives in the German National team's midfield, where teams couldn't afford to focus too heavily on one individual... this player was a passing «specialist» long before he arrived in North London, so only an arrogant or ignorant individual would try to reinvent the wheel and / or not surround such a talent with the necessary components... in regards to Ox, Walcott and Welbeck, although they all possess serious talents I see them in large part as headless chickens who are on the injury table too much, lack the necessary first - touch and / or lack the finishing flair to warrant their inclusion in a regular starting eleven; I would say that,
of the 3, Ox showed the most upside once we went to a back 3, but even he became a bit too consumed by his pending contract talks before the
season ended and that concerned me a bit... if I had to choose one
of those 3 players to stay on it would be Ox due to his potential as a plausible alternative to Bellerin in that wing - back position should we continue to use that formation... in Sanchez, we get one
of the most committed skill players we've seen on this squad for some years but that could all change soon, if it hasn't already
of course... strangely enough, even he doesn't make sense given the constructs
of the original Wenger offensive model because he holds onto the ball too long and he will give the ball up a little too often in the offensive zone... a fact that is largely forgotten due to his infectious energy and the fact that the numbers he has achieved seem to justify the means... finally, and in many ways most crucially, Giroud, there is nothing about this team or the offensive system that Wenger has traditionally employed that would even suggest such a player would make sense as a starter... too slow, too inefficient and way too easily dispossessed... once again, I think he has some special skills and, at times, has showed some world - class qualities but he's lack
of mobility is an albatross around the necks
of our offence... so when you ask who would be our best starting 11, I don't have a clue because
of the 5 or 6 players that truly deserve a place in this side, 1 just arrived, 3 aren't under contract beyond 2018 and the other was just sold to Juve... man, this is theraputic because following this team is
like an addiction to heroin without the benefits
Arsenal do not want a repeat
of this
season, as the
likes of Mesut Ozil, Jack Wilshere and Alexis Sanchez all were
coming to the
end of their contracts, with the latter deciding to join Manchester United.
Amidst numerous rumors linking Arsenal with a summer move for a goalkeeper, the Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has
come out to clarify that he is very happy with his goalkeepers at the moment and will not be in the market for another when the transfer window opens at the
end of the
season, effectively laying to rest rumors
of Arsenal's interest in veteran custodians
like Chelsea's Petr Cech and Real Madrid's Iker Casillas.
At the
end of this
season, the board should propose the idea to Wenger that he should move «upstairs» to the boardroom,
like Sir Alex Ferguson did, allowing a new manager to
come in and attempt to bring Arsenal back to the top level, where the club once was, not too long ago.
Last but least Ozïl, the talent is there and we know it: on any given day at the top
of his form he is arguably the best # 10 in the world and just need performances
like this and the previous one to show it and remind everyone (what a pass for Giroud); will do a lot for his confidence and also felt he could've been more involved in the team play but that will
come with game time (got 90 mins today)... Hopefully that doesn't stop until
season's
end and keep them passes and goals
coming... Dare I say I would've love to see once a front
of Alexis, Ozïl, Walcott / Chamberlaine and Cazorla (mouthwatering)!!!
then we get punished for it... We need more players
like Sanchez or Rosicky and Kos, who are willing to fight for the full 90 + Not players who use the treatment room as a vacation, only to
come on at the
end of the
season to reap the spoils...
As I said earlier in the post where Wenger wants Arsenal to win every game until the
end of the
season, it is all very well having aims
like that, but to think it is actually possible is
like living in a dreamland where all your wildest wishes can
come true.
Great match ups ahead for COQ... Flamini is out at the
end of the
season, Arteta is good but I suspect he'll be a squad player next
season a bit
like Rosicky in this campaign more so if Wenger get what he wants / needs this summer; and looking at the amount we have spent the past 2
seasons it is more likely than not that a 30 - 40 million pound will be made on one player and depending on who
comes now it will be a DM or CB... if it is a DM with Coquelin, Bielik whose tipped to be the next big thing we will be covered more so if one more star DM signs!!
Arsenal have already been linked with this England international star but with his current contract due to run out at the
end of this
season, it looks
like James Milner could finally be
coming to join the Gunners soon, according to a Daily Express report that is.
Here
comes the recurring injury crisis then Wenger repeats his template statement
like he has just done and our hope sinks then we
end up with the usual fourth place trophy at the
end of the
season.
So
of course Arsene Wenger has made mistakes, just
like every other manager in every football league across the planet and I'm sure he will make plenty more before the
end of the
season, but I am referring to a couple
of specific and avoidable mistakes that I think may
come back to haunt the Frenchman when the dust settles on the Premier League next summer.
players
like Ozil always present the fans with a bit
of a conundrum, especially when times are tough... if you look around the sporting world every once in awhile there emerges a player with incredible skill,
like Ozil, Matt Sundin or even Jay Cutler, who have a different way about themselves... their movement seemed almost too lackadaisical, so much so that it seemed to suggest indifference or even disinterest on the part
of the player... their posture always appears somewhat mopey and they generally have an unflattering «sour puss» expression on their face... for some their above average skills are enough to keep them squarely in the mix, as their respective teams try desperately to find a way to get the best out
of them visa vie player acquisitions or the reworking
of tactics... when things go according to planned the fans usually find a way to accept their unique disposition, whereas when things go awry they become easy targets for fans and pundits alike... in the case
of Ozil and Sundin, their successes on the international stage and / or with their former teams led many to conclude that if we surrounded such talented individuals with players that have those skills that would most likely bring the best
of these players success would surely follow... unfortunately both the Maple Leafs and our club chose to adopt half - measures, as each were being run by corporations who valued profitability over providing the best possible product on the field... for them, they cared more about shirt sales and
season tickets than doing whatever was necessary... this isn't, by any stretch, an attempt to absolve Ozil
of any responsibility for his failures on the pitch... there is no doubt oftentimes his efforts were underwhelming, to say the least, but this club has been inept when it
comes to providing this prolific passer with the kind
of players necessary for him to flourish... with our poor man's version
of Benzema up front, the headless chickens in Walcott, the younger Ox and Welbeck occupying wide positions far too often and the fact that Carzola, who provided Ozil with great service and more freedom to roam, was never truly replaced, the only real skilled outlet on the pitch was Sanchez... remember to be considered a world - class set - up man goals need to be scored and for much
of his time here he has been surrounded by some incredibly inept finishers... in the
end, I'm not sure how long he will be in North London, recent sentiments and his present contract situation seem to suggest that he will depart at
season's
end, but how tragic would it be if once again we didn't put our best foot forward and failed to make those moves that could have brought championship football back to our once beloved club... so when you think about this uniquely skilled player don't be so quick to shift all the blame on his shoulders because he will not be the first or the last highly skilled player to find disappointment at the Emirates if we don't rid the club
of those individuals that are truly to blame for our current woes
So here is what I think the table will be
like come end of the
season: 1.
The only thing I would
like to see more than Arsenal lifting the Premier League trophy at the
end of the up and
coming season (well maybe not the only thing but let's stick to football) would be for Jose Mourinho and Manchester United to flop
like a souffle taken out
of the oven too soon.
but that does nt mean i do nt rate them.if u ask me now how the table will look
like at the
end of the
season now i would say.chelsea mancity arsenal manu so am not deluding myself.back to united i know they have made some good signins and stiil more but a few will have to go as well and having too many players
come in one window can affect team cohesion or balance depending on how they all adapt..
he offered them contract extensions 3 months ago but we are almost
end of season and players
like Ozil, Alexis and Ox has not been sorted who we should build the team around them
comes summer.
Like I said, I have money on arsenal
coming 5th and I am about putting an additional bet on Ozil and Sanchez demanding a transfer at the
end of this
season.
If a team
like Swansea can
come to the Emirates at the pointy
end of the
season and pick up such a cheap 3 points with a weakened team then we really are bang in trouble.
We Arsenal fans overrate their player's a lot.No wonder when our players leave to another club eventually their quality always declines even if they're world class.Take a look at all the top players who have left Arsenal and look at their careers.Things start well and
end badly. It is unfair to say Sanchez is irreplaceable because none
of you can know until you give the chance to another player and no one knew he would have this impact. This should tell you that until you try you can't know.I hate it when we allow players to treat us
like this. Why not sell him abroad and get a top winger to replace him instead
of allowing him to go for free? How do you know we will or won't win the league with him or if another top winger
comes in.We might really really regret this
season if the future
of some key players are not sorted out.We overrate our players a lot its a joke.
NY - Gunner I am a realist I have an understanding
of business, finances, and long time ago a little time in owning, managing, and playing in a non professional fotball club / legue, untill recently I was a strong suporter
of AW and the business model
of Arsenal FC but last couple
of seasons I don't
like what I see and it goes against everything what a competitive football club is all about, personally I have nothing against AW but a lot
of fond memories but all good things
come to an
end, knowing when your time is up is a true professional I just hope AW knows what his doing.
But if we treat every game
like a cup final, who knows what will happen
come end of season.
However, following United's recent # 40M acquisition
of Chelsea star Nemanja Matic, the Frenchman's defensive responsibilities look set to be reduced this
season, allowing the 24 - year - old to produce more in terms
of chances and goals scored, which should see the midfielder make his price - tag seem
like a bargain
come the
end of the
season.
It maybe a lot
of money and Wenger doesn't
like to spend huge amounts
of money on one player but it could make all the difference
come the
end of the
season.
Arsenal might be winning games again but let's face it their performances have hardly been inspiring.Far and away their best performance so far was a defensive hard earned 0 - 0 away draw to Chelsea. Its a long long time since Arsenal.played a style
of football which was fast moving, free - flowing and with consistently positive
end result. The media still seam to tar them with that same brush but truth be known the
likes of both Manchester clubs, Liverpool and Spurs are far more entertaining to watch these days than Arsenal's tippy - tappy sideways brand
of play Hopefully they will be able to build momentum in the
coming weeks and inspire confidence prior to the Citeh and Spuds games... otherwise this
Season will unfortunately develop into even more farce than Wenger, Gazidas and Kronke managed to orchestrate last year and the Emirates will empty out even more noticeably!!
How I miss last
seasons Rambo in times
like this, Jack is not just good enough and Wenger should realize that because as things stand will
end up trophy less
come end of the
season.
«It's a vital
season because he's nearing the
end of his contract, it's a World Cup year and he has been an Arsenal player since he was a kid, so all that's at stake for him and for us as well because you'd love a player
like him
of that quality to
come back.
Come the
end of the
season, you will hear from me as others
like you have heard it from me.
With their chances
of a top - four finish disappearing further into the distance Chelsea are now playing
like a team who would rather that an underwhelming
season would just
come to an
end.
I'm happy with where I'm at but I'd
like to see a few more
come the
end of the
season.»
I do
like the Ox, but wish he wouldn't keep
coming out with the I want to play centrally stuff... his best games were at the
end of last
season when he played as a wing back when we reverted to 3 at the back.
I haven't changed my stance once in the last 4 to 5 years and I am glad to Welcome t Lacazette and if he can even produce 75 %
of the goals scored in the French league, he will be a huge bonus and it appears a true CF.We hopefully are still in the market for Mahrez as in all probability we wont let Sanchez run down his contract and walk away on a free, as that is not the Arsenal way.We need to sell several players and it's the saving
of wages that is most important not what we get and a decision has to be made on particularly Wilshere and it looks
like the player we arguably missed the most last
season Santi Cazorla maybe
coming to the
end of his playing days.We have already tried to sell Gibbs and Jenkinson and in all probability add the two keepers, Ospina and Szczesny to the list which leaves Joel Campbell who seems to have missed his chance and should have been sold at a premium after the last WC, but more importantly The Ox and Giroud. Our attack force needs a real hard think as I can't see Perez as a long term Arsenal player, but Walcott,
like him or not in all probability will stay.
The latest news
coming out
of Ewood Park is that Blackburn's dubious owners, Venky's, have pledged their support to former first - team manager Steve Kean, who will now take charge
of all managerial matters until the
end of the
season — Thinly veiled, no - one worth their salt, with a track record
of working miracles, is currently available so it's your reputation we're willing to stick on the line in the meantime, so do well or you're out the door
like the last unfortunate soul.
And, from my point
of view, I'd
like it to happen
come the
end of this
season.
