I am pissed - off that other
teams even clubs like Spurs see the players that they want and immediately pounce on them like a tramp on chips, but when it
comes to Arsenal we make appointments weeks and months
into the future... I ask myself, what can I do as a fan of my beloved Arsenal, and what can we (Arsenal fans all over the world) do as supporters to show our outrage and indignation of the status - quo
at Arsenal when it
comes to transfers.

Remember if you aren't
at the head of the class when it
comes to the development of young talent, which means eyes on the ground everywhere, a vast array of connections with soccer associations throughout Europe and beyond and a manager willing to properly train and play said blue chippers, (like the 90s Arsenal or clubs like the modern day Monaco and Dortmund) you need to spend to win... anything in between is highly problematic... failure to make the necessary changes leaves you in the proverbial «no man's land» and that is currently where we reside... it's difficult to get out of this rut... just ask either of the Milan
teams... next step after that is being known as a «seller», which could be us already if and when Sanchez leaves... there are only two
teams that have worn this moniker in recent times and had some decent success and that is Athletico Madrid and Dortmond, which only occurred when they both brought in new, charismatic leaders in Simmone & Klopp... the odds that Wenger could conjure up the magic to repeat the performances of a bygone era are incredibly low, so why prolong the agony... he's not willing to create the hierarchy necessary to go the youth route and he's unwilling to put his

It's difficult to blame Ozil for the difficulties he's faced
at Arsenal without looking
at the big picture... like the fans, he too was lied to by Wenger... there is no doubt in my mind that he was told by Wenger that he was trying desperately to recreate our earlier success by acquiring players that fit the system he ran when Henry was in his prime... as we know this hasn't happened... in order for Ozl to flourish he needs some speed up front, forwards that can make intelligent runs, a boss in the midfield to compensate for his obvious defensive liabilities and defenders who can transition from defence to offence quickly and efficiently... much like he had in Real and with the German National squad... unfortunately he ended up on a squad that has a striker who plays with his back to goal, very few intelligent runs
into the box, minus Sanchez, no one to take pressure off him in the midfield, once Cazorla was injured, average defensive midfielders around him, which simply highlighted his lacking defensive qualities and defenders who lack the necessary cutting edge when it
comes to transitional passing... instead of blaming Ozil, which is simply too easy, especially considering his mopey disposition, we should be asking ownership and / or Wenger why they brought him in if they didn't intend on doing what was necessary to get the best from him... can you imagine Ozil playing with the likes of Henry, Viera, Petit and Pires, it would be incredibly to watch and even more difficult to stop... so the only thing different between his experiences in Real and with the German
team versus his time
at Arsenal are the players around him and we all know who is in charge of making those decisions, the Grinch who stole soccer

at the general characteristics of
teams that tend to overachieve or underachieve
come tourney time.
nice to see you crawl out of your hole just in time to offer your 2 cents worth once again... unlike yourself I started following this
team long before Wenger arrived on the scene and will continue to do so long after he's gone... in his earlier years I admired the cerebral elements he brought to the EPL, which
at that point was more brutish than beautiful, and I respected the seemingly tireless efforts of Arsene, Dein & staff to uncover and develop talent without sacrificing the product on the field... likewise I appreciated that such a youthful manager wasn't afraid to bring strong personalities and / or world - class players
into the fold without being fearful of how said players would potentially undermine and / or dilute his authority... unfortunately this all changed about 10 years ago and culminated in the removal of all our greatest players, both young and old, without any real replacements
coming in... from Henry to RVP to Fabergas and Nasri, it was easy to see that this club was no longer interested in competing
at the highest levels... instead of being honest, minus the ridiculous claims regarding the new stadium, Wenger chose to side with management and in doing so became the «front man» for this corporation pretending to be a world - class soccer club... without the «front man» this organization would have been exposed numerous years earlier, so his presence was imperative if the facade was to continue... it's for this reason and more that I despise what this once great man and Kroenke has done to my beloved club... the gutless, shameful and manipulative way they have treated the fans, like myself, is largely indefensible and this is why I felt it necessary to start offering my opinion in a public format... trust me, I resisted the temptation for many years but as long as the same shit continues to exist I will voice my opinions and if you don't like it maybe you should look for a different
team to pretend to follow

Yes we have games against «inferior»
teams coming up (of which we thought
at home to Hull was the first) but to see us go on a massive winning run would be great, but I really can't see Chelsea or Man City slipping up enough for Arsenal to do anything but get
into the usual dogfight for fourth place.
All of these players have played a major role in the

We are also proven to be an attractive club to those who have

at time it was said he would follow a year later which i believed to some extent... im sure he must of thought it through, but then the cl medal and his

come into his thinking no matter how tough he thinks he is.
This is an incredibly difficult question to answer for a variety of reasons, most importantly because over the years our once vaunted «beautiful» style of play has become a shadow of it's former self, only to be replaced by a less than stellar «plug and play» mentality where players play out of position and adjustments / substitutions are rarely forthcoming before the 75th minute... if you look
at our current players, very few would make sense in the traditional Wengerian system...
at present, we don't have the personnel to move the ball quickly from deep - lying position, efficient one touch midfielders that can make the necessary through balls or the disciplined and pacey forwards to stretch defences
into wide positions, without the aid of the backs
coming up
into the final 3rd, so that we can attack the defensive lanes in the same clinical fashion we did years ago... on this current squad, we have only 1 central defender on staf, Mustafi, who seems to have any prowess in the offensive zone or who can even pass two zones through so that we can advance play quickly out of our own end (I have seen some inklings that suggest Holding might have some offensive qualities but too early to tell)... unfortunately Mustafi has a tendency to get himself in trouble when he gets overly aggressive on the ball... from our backs out wide, we've seen pace from the likes of Bellerin and Gibbs and the spirited albeit offensively stunted play of Monreal, but none of these players possess the skill - set required in the offensive zone for the new Wenger scheme which requires deft touches, timely runs to the baseline and consistent crossing, especially when Giroud was playing and his ratio of scored goals per clear chances was relatively low (better last year though)... obviously I like Bellerin's future prospects, as you can't teach pace, but I do worry that he regressed last season, which was obvious to Wenger because there was no way he would have used Ox as the right side wing - back so often knowing that Barcelona could
come calling in the off - season, if he thought otherwise... as for our midfielders, not a single one, minus the more confident Xhaka I watched played for the Swiss national
team a couple years ago, who truly makes sense under the traditional Wenger model... Ramsey holds onto the ball too long, gives the ball away cheaply far too often and abandons his defensive responsibilities on a regular basis (doesn't score enough recently to justify): that being said, I've always thought he does possess a little something special, unfortunately he thinks so too... Xhaka is a little too slow to ever boss the midfield and he tends to telegraph his one true strength, his long ball play: although I must admit he did get a bit better during some points in the latter part of last season... it always made me wonder why whenever he played with Coq Wenger always seemed to play Francis in a more advanced role on the pitch... as for Coq, he is way too reckless
at the wrong times and has exhibited little offensive prowess yet finds himself in and around the box far too often... let's face it Wenger was ready to throw him in the trash heap when injuries forced him to use Francis and then he had the nerve to act like this was all part of a bigger Wenger constructed plan... he like Ramsey, Xhaka and Elneny don't offer the skills necessary to satisfy the quick transitory nature of our old offensive scheme or the stout defensive mindset needed to protect the defensive zone so that our offensive players can remain aggressive in the final third... on the front end, we have Ozil, a player of immense skill but stunted by his physical demeanor that tends to offend, the fact that he's been played out of position far too many times since arriving and that the players in front of him, minus Sanchez, make little to no sense considering what he has to offer (especially Giroud); just think about the quick counter-attack offence in Real or the space and protection he receives in the German National
team's midfield, where
teams couldn't afford to focus too heavily on one individual... this player was a passing «specialist» long before he arrived in North London, so only an arrogant or ignorant individual would try to reinvent the wheel and / or not surround such a talent with the necessary components... in regards to Ox, Walcott and Welbeck, although they all possess serious talents I see them in large part as headless chickens who are on the injury table too much, lack the necessary first - touch and / or lack the finishing flair to warrant their inclusion in a regular starting eleven; I would say that, of the 3, Ox showed the most upside once we went to a back 3, but even he became a bit too consumed by his pending contract talks before the season ended and that concerned me a bit... if I had to choose one of those 3 players to stay on it would be Ox due to his potential as a plausible alternative to Bellerin in that wing - back position should we continue to use that formation... in Sanchez, we get one of the most committed skill players we've seen on this squad for some years but that could all change soon, if it hasn't already of course... strangely enough, even he doesn't make sense given the constructs of the original Wenger offensive model because he holds onto the ball too long and he will give the ball up a little too often in the offensive zone... a fact that is largely forgotten due to his infectious energy and the fact that the numbers he has achieved seem to justify the means... finally, and in many ways most crucially, Giroud, there is nothing about this
team or the offensive system that Wenger has traditionally employed that would even suggest such a player would make sense as a starter... too slow, too inefficient and way too easily dispossessed... once again, I think he has some special skills and,
at times, has showed some world - class qualities but he's lack of mobility is an albatross around the necks of our offence... so when you ask who would be our best starting 11, I don't have a clue because of the 5 or 6 players that truly deserve a place in this side, 1 just arrived, 3 aren't under contract beyond 2018 and the other was just sold to Juve... man, this is theraputic because following this
team is like an addiction to heroin without the benefits
No.the solution is not to get some1 to rotate with Giroud, the answer is to get some1 better than Giroud, period. It worries me that Giroud really thinks that Henry is wrong, this shows how much Wenger an the people
at Arsenal are caught up in their own bubble unable to see an overview from outside. We've been saying that Girouds not good enough since he
came 3 years ago, an im afraid nothing has changed, he still not world class, i can't think of a top
team in Europe he would get
into.
«You play against an Arsenal
team 10 or 15 years ago and
at United, Darren Fletcher
comes into the
team to sit to the right - hand side.
Wenger put ozil on the wing for his development one thing i do nt get is how the fans do nt see that Wenger done the same process with Wilshere, I remember when Monreal was caught out
at the back post from a set piece and ozil did nt cover he just jogged abit n let monreal get beat, that would be video evidence for Ozil to learn and work on his duty to defend instead of giving him Candy like a baby n letting him be lazy in the middle not tracking back for the
team its a learning process im 100 % Wenger knows ozils best position is in the centre he followed him since Shalke its obvious but Wenger develops players
into world class after seeing Ozil in the world cup and
coming back after the world cup i coud see he defended alot more helping out monreal on the flanks and putting in alot more effort only then once hes showed his duty in defending will he be given his free role in the middle.
well, maybe, just maybe Chambers because he ja sad not really been given a chance but
at the end of the day chances are meant to be taken, not handed out on plate and the few times he's
come into the
team he has been mediocre
at best....
If we had managed to complete our second half comeback against the Potters, then maybe the memory of that terrible half would not be quite so painful, but as it is, the rugby
team got their chance to gloat and will
come into the return match
at the Emirates on Sunday with confidence high and with a belief that they can do the double over us.
Symons has received a double boost

Also when we play

However, on paper Argentina are the best

even when he suffered a serious knee injury, instead of accepting the fact that he would never stick his legs
into the spaces that were crucial for someone with straight ahead speed to succeed, the club actually contemplated giving him a chance to play up top where his lack of physicality, size and holding up play talents would been on display for all to see... these are not the actions of a club that really cares about winning
at the highest levels, but they are the actions of a club that wasn't interested in spending the necessary resources to purchases a world - class striker, which is usually the most expensive position on the pitch... instead we adopted the horrible phrase «like a new signing» and proceeded to allow this ridiculous experiment to carry on, which ultimately caused some discomfort on the training pitch and inside the locker room as players battled for a position that shouldn't have been theirs for the taking in the first place... don't get me wrong, I believe that Walcott is a talented player, who can help a
team reach their goals, if their goals are relatively modest... just look
at the
teams who supposedly expressed interest in his services and they weren't the kind of clubs who aspire to win
at the highest levels... as for the reasons why he hasn't been bitching and moaning about moving on just look
at the wage benefits he receives from our club and his obvious desire to enjoy the societal advantages that
come with playing in North London for a club with worldwide appeal... so instead of continuing to try to fix a coat with a broken zipper simply move on and buy a new and better coat
These goals go hand - in - hand, as a) BCS standings would potentially
come into play in a three - way SEC West tiebreaker between 7 - 1
teams Arkansas, Alabama and LSU, and b) the SEC champion typically gets a chance
at the national title.
The things that killed us in our last match were obvious, why was mertsacker running
into the box when hes a defender and knowing that hes the only qualified cb in the
team surely he should have left the roaming for monreal, too many
team members try and instill the responsibility of a WHOLE
team onto themselves especially when we go down, now that works in a case where your
team is packed with stars ala chelsea and man city but when you have players like ours our best way to win is patience and everybody playing THEIR role and playing it f-ing well and only few are doing that
at the moment and that is the main spine of our problems when it
comes to the
team!
stop buying
into the rhetoric
coming from the Arsenal PR
team, according to Coq there wasn't any locker room issues with Sanchez, beyond the issues created by the uncertainty surrounding his possible transfer, which was caused by the club... like I said many times before Wenger and his propaganda machine created those stories to justify Sanchez's inevitable exit, much like they did many times before... I can only hope that the fans
at the Emirates don't give Wenger a moments peace
at tomorrow's game... stop being pawns and voice your opinions loud and clear
