Although Walcott's performance was the big positive to
come out of this game there were plenty of others: Arshavin was far more busy than in the opening game, Jack Wilshere was given more time and space to show what he can do and Chamakh showed good determination to react from two poor misses to score his first goal for the club.

I even thought top clubs were in for him. Some three or 2 seasons back many here were debating why he should be our main striker. As soon as you mention any other strikers name people would
come out with stats and many things defending him.Even Wenger has defended him blindly in the past.People say Wenger's stubborn yeah. But don't we know that
there's a reason why everything happens?Honestly speaking he's the reason why Arsene Wenger has failed to sign a top notch striker because he still believes in him.The funny thing is we signed Welbeck at that time who to me did nothing before to be the main man here.People keep saying Welbeck is hardworking and that he works his socks off.But the question is was that our reason for signing him.Welbeck being signed to challenge Giroud tells me a lot about Giroud's quality.Even Walcott (no offence to him) who has zero CF qualities was even chosen over him for a string
of games and all in all I think he did well but has too many defeciencies for that role. We've compromised as a club and it'll
come back to bite us.
Come the other year when Arsenal went the whole season without a defeat in the Premier League, Barcelona were attracted by Marc Overmas and Emmanue Petti, the two joined Barcelona, they played few games, and sometime on the bench, as a result Emmanue Petti decided to go back to England and joined New - Castle and always regret leaving Arsenal, then the other year it was Alexander Hleb, he was the best dribller in Arsenal team, he went again to Barcelona, he was never given some games, I think he only played few games as a sub, and his carrier was destroyed by Barcelona, then come Henry, he again went to Barcelona, he played some games but not like he used to do at Arsenal, he was not looking like a star player anymore, he decided to go to America, then there was Fabrigas, he joined Barcelona again, since he was one of their juniors, I think he played for two seasons, and supporter used to booing him, he decided to come back to Arsenal, by then Arsenal had already resplaced him with Ozil, and he joined Chelsea, then come Alexander Song, he pushed to go to Barcelona, he was always on the banch, and never been on first eleven, then he ended up regreting joing Barcelona, and wanted to go back to Arsenal, but normally Wenger do not take players who pushed themselves to be out of Arsenal, lastly there was Vermuleen, he went to Barcelona and ended up not playing at all but when playing for Arsenal they used to be star play

I think our best football this season was against man city at the emirates, i have never seen arsenal put up that sort
of fight against a top team in a long time, although we didn't win I was satisfied with the hunger we showed, i would always prefer le coq to Flamini but that is not what would win us this
game, we need to show the right attitude, go
there to win it, and When I say go
there to win it, i don't mean throw everybody forward, I mean go
out there with a winning and commited mentality, being ready to throw yourself at the shot, make the all important tackle instead

Our player
of the season so far?Certainly the most consistent.JACK AND OZIL CONTRACTS - just get them signed up for F *** S SAKE.Jack doesn't want to go anywhere and Ozil will have his choice
of big clubs to choose from if allowed to be able to go on a free. How about giving
out a statement
of our ambitions (yeah right) and show were prepared to pay whatever it takes (up to the point
of being ridiculous) to SIGN the best and KEEP the best» These two are the best we have so get them sorted early to send
out a message
of how serious we intend to be.AUBAMEYANG - So what if he has a contract. So did Sanchez.Offer the right money to Dortmund and the player and he will be ours. What is
there to question over this deal?He is a proven goalscorer. We have just lost one.Get the deal done.GIROUD - Get rid
of him to Dortmund if they want him either by selling or if it sweetens the deal just loan him till the end
of the season. He was a back up when Sanchez was here and will be on the mix
of back ups if Auba signs. He has a World Cup squad to fight for just to be considered so needs to be playing every week.We do not need him if Auba signs and would demand better than him if the deal fails to happen.Just get rid.JONNY EVANS - I'm not sure.Agree Kos needs nursing through
games and we do not have consistent performers to
come in if he is injured or rested mainly due to both Chambers and Holdimg not progressing through as much as we first thought and hoped for.Gooners have always been patient and supportive
of the youngsters as they have
come through but question marks to the whole coaching staff as to why these two seem to have stalled as much as they have done.Steve Bould - What do you do?You should be ashamed.

This is a scandalously large topic on the lack

Its about time again for Wilshere to rule he is well capable
of it and should go
out there and
come out of it as a glittered champion its unfortunate but it is cut and dry up or
out he has it so it should be up so he should up his
game focus and lead he needs to get to the world cup so the work must be done I am confident he can do that so we can support him wish him good luck and push him on

We didn't need a manager this season if we're just gonna put
out the same players that
come 5th anyone could
of done what wenger is doing it's easy I buy lacazette then put he same team
out from the same squad even when I have injuries it's easy just put
out the rest
of the squad and play them
out of position I mean I'd take 8mil to do that oxlade at lwb kolansinac at cb elneny cm holding rcb
there's no work
of a manager
there just put in players were others ain't ready to play then buy nobody else and do interviews with the same excuses job done next
game change some ppl around but same ppl that
came 5th then sell Alexis do interviews same excuses job done transfer window closes fans wish they never supported arsenal wenger laughing to the bank job done
I'm not sure that it worked exactly that way... in fact, with Roberts in
there, the run stuffing probably wasn't very good either... so I'd be curious to see if most
of Roberts 44 snaps
came early in the
game, and most
of Richards / Bademosi's 37 snaps
came later in the
game, i.e. was the in -
game adjustment to concede that Roberts on the field was a general liability to the defense... even if it meant putting Jordan Richards / Bademosi
out there in his place?
can u ever write an article without mocking arsene or wishing his reign to
come to an end it is ok sometimes but every time
come on man give it a break on to our defence
there are only 2
games in this season where team's overall defensive performance can be taken to doubt first was pool because
of both first team defenders
out second is olympiakos where u can point to team not defending so well on corner that also was actually an individual mistake by ospina which changed the
game so our defence is doing good job give credit where it is due
of course it would be interesting to see whether we can contain the most inform team in Europe.

Granite Xhaka saved us last night, i'm not a great fan
of Xhaka but i thought the
game changed as soon as he
come on, on Wilshere i have been his biggest supporter but last night he let me down badly, he made no space for himself he was just
out for the fresh air, i thought Sead had a lousy
game to even do he scored, it was a sad night for Arsenal supporters and football to watch that,
there were plenty
of alarms raised when we played Ostersunds FK in the first leg in the second half, AW should
of known better to prepare his team and should get off his ass and shout a bit from the side line like all passionate managers do when they send a message to their players
Whether it was Micah Richards» questionable display in defence to Jores Okore's horror show alongside him,
there were several disappointing displays with few, if any,
of the Villa players

Chambers - Paid a lot
of money for a young player with little experience in regards First Team and Premiership
games. He looked a good prospect and because
of injuries to the squad he found himself playing very soon into his Arsenal career. This caught up with him a bit as did playing with different CB partners and filling in at full back.Form dipped and was
out of the side till a year long loan move to Boro.He was playing every week and despite them going down he was one
of their best and consistent players. He has been indifferent since
coming back but has looked better in last few
games he has played.I believe
there is a very decent centre back in this player and would not describe him as a bad buy at all.
«
There was a very good turnout with probably close to 1,000 people

Nothing like one underachiever blowing smoke up the ass
of another... we know that Ozil has some incredible technical gifts, but to be considered the best you have to bring more than just assists to the table... for me, a top player has to possess a more well - rounded
game, which doesn't mean they need to be a beast on both ends
of the pitch, but they must have the ability to take their
game to another level when it matters most... although he amassed some record - like stats early on, it set the bar too high, so when people expected him to duplicate those numbers each year the pressure seemed to get the best
of our soft - spoken star... obviously that's not an excuse for what has happened in the meantime, but it's important to make note
of a few things: (1) his best year was a transition year for many
of the traditionally dominant teams in the EPL, so that clearly made the numbers appear better than they actually were and (2) Wenger's system, or lack thereof, didn't do him any favours; by playing him
out of position and by not acquiring world - class striker and / or right - side forward that would best fit an Ozil - centered offensive scheme certainly hurt his chances to repeat his earlier peformances, (3) the loss
of Cazorla, who took a lot
of pressure off Ozil in the midfield and was highly efficient when it
came to getting him the ball in space, negatively impacted his effectiveness and (4) he likewise missed a good chunk
of games and frankly never looked himself when he eventually returned to the field... overall the Ozil experiment has had mixed reviews and rightfully so, but I do have some empathy for the man because he has always carried himself the same way, whether for Real or the German National team, yet he has only suffered any lengthy down periods with Arsenal... to me that goes directly to this club's inability to surround him with the necessary players to succeed, especially for someone who is a pass first type
of player; as such, this simply highlights our club's ineffective and antiquated transfer policies... frankly I'm disappointed in both Ozil and our management team for not stepping up when it counted because they had a chance to do something special, but they didn't have it in them...
there is no one that better exemplifies our recent history than Ozil, brief moments
of greatness undercut by long periods
of disappointing play, only made worse by his mopey posturing like a younger slightly less awkward Wenger... what a terribly waste
But
there not up and
coming English or exceptional talent to deserve
there chance.being kicked
out of the carling cup too early also affected
game time.
I agree that we can expect a lot more from Arsenal in a few weeks time, but
there are some crucial
games coming up quickly, especially the one against Besiktas which could see us drop
out of the Champions League group stages for the first time in 16 years.
What's the point when
there's little rotation, players are played
out of position and substitutions almost never
come before the 70th
of the
game???
FC played a minor role in his first 4 or 5
games coming off the bench before making his first start, against WH I think —
there was none
of the panic hinted
out in the general hysteria on here.
(1) this squad has way too many moving parts and very few
of our players are good enough at their preferred position let alone relying on them in whatever position Wenger and his magic eight ball decide in the tunnel prior to the
game... when teams do this it generally signals issues within the club, much like Jose last year and Van Gael before him... no one gets settled, the chemistry is almost non-existent and if provides a built - in excuse when the team
comes up short... these issues fall squarely on Wenger, both for his decisions regarding players
coming in and for his inability to rid the team
of those players who aren't cutting it... in actually fact we have only 6 real starters on this current squad and that's being generous (Sanchez, Ozil, Lacazette, Sead, Kos & Cazorla)... which is discouraging because Cazorla is injured and might never play again, Sanchez is wanting
out and the club is lying to us about his injury status, Lacazette receives no service, Ozil is relatively disinterested
out there, Kos is getting up
there and Sead is just trying to settle in...
there isn't a single other player that would start regularly on any
of the other top 3 teams, which should be the standard... imagine this team moving forward if Wenger only sells before the window closes
the
game there has changed before the match i was thinking about a formation but flamini was not available in my formation carzola was not in for the simple reason he put a lot work in the last match i would have picked wallcott rosciky and gabrial having said that when the player sheet
came out my first thought was yup the team is balanced the bench constituted walcott and chambarelain (speed) so in essence the plan was ok but it just was a disaster The 22 million dollar question who would one pick to secure a win in Monaco and advance into the quarter finals
of the champion league
Now I think
there is still reasons to be cheerful, I agree Man C & Chelski have spent & bought some good players, we all understand that 5
of those teams might be in the CL proper which is a huge distraction for those 4 - 5 teams.Chelsea will not be able to field the same 13 - 14 players all season, as for Man C they were very frail at the back last season, add to that 2 flying wing backs and I'm not sure they will be any better this
coming season.LFC will most probably have CL as well if they qualify and haven't exactly bought great players apart from Salah who could be a good aquasistion for them.Spuds have sold a good player & strengthened a rival & still not bought a single player yet, Man U have bought 2 good players & in Lukaku have a proven goal scorer in the PL but if they play the same dour way they did last season & with the added
games the CL brings will they perform week in week
out in the league??? As for Everton yes they have released a lot
of players and also brought in a lot too to give better quality in the squad as they have Europa league the same as US the big difference is I think we will play squad players & youngsters maybe with a few senior players all the way up to the QF This tells me most
of our rivals will pave the way for us to field pretty much the same side every weekend in the PL thus giving us an advantage over all the other 5 teams playing in the CL & Europa, just remember the League has been won in the last 2 seasons by teams NOT in Europe YES we are this season but I think Wenger will put all his eggs in the League basket and field an under strength side in all comps hence focusing on the League until we are no longer in the race.
The way Chambers has adapted to playing in the centre
of defence, I would not mind seeing the 19 - year old given a go
there, but time is short and running
out fast, with just the
games against Everton, Besiktas and Leicester City
coming before the summer transfer window slams shut.
And Hughes is lucky that the fixture list gets a little calmer from this point on: Eight
of their next nine
games come against teams outside the top eight, and the odd one
out there is Manchester United, who are having their own crisis.
