to Venice for the Biennale debut before finally concluding in Basel — which, thankfully for all involved, is also an epicenter of the global pharmaceutical
industry.
The
auction, almost certainly the largest public sale of its kind,
comes amid strong mobile
industry growth — and soaring litigation — as relative latecomers Apple and Google seek
to bolster weaker collections of patents versus rivals.
Longly and other
industry experts, including Rhett Winchell, president of the
auction division for Kennedy Wilson Inc. in Los Angeles, expect
to see a surge in commercial
auctions over the next 12 months as more commercial property loans
come up for refinancing.
