I think the sort of
debate that the 7th Berlin Biennale provoked is very important, but perhaps it rattled the cage a
little more than was
comfortable.
As a non-expert, I am currently
comfortable agreeing with the 95 % group, and have a
little more doubt in the 90 % group but for the purpose of framing a theory the first 3 of these are a reasonable compromise (
debating the detail of CO2 is not productive in the wider context).
Finally, on behalf of REM, they should always feel
comfortable to publish articles that might be a
little controversial in some people's eyes, which will often stimulate healthy
debate.
