Here's an outfit which I've been wearing for the past two days and even though I'm supposed to be wearing summer
dresses and all
of that, I
felt very
comfy and very «me» in this combo.
Dressing for that in itself is a tall order, and I also want a
comfy pair
of pants for my long flight, easy shoes for walking (or running to catch my connection as it were) and
of course, to
feel as cute and polished as possible given the circumstances.
You could even wear a nice pair
of Nikes or Keds with a classic shift
dress to work if your workplace isn't super strict about that sort
of thing — or if they are, you can at least look good and
feel comfy wearing them on your commute.
I always
feel as though I'm wearing a socially acceptable form
of PJs when I wear a maxi skirt or
dress — they are just so
comfy for summer (or winter in India, haha)!
Tuxedos are the height
of fancy
dress... unless they're tuxedo leggings with a tuxedo inspired tunic in which case you're faking fancy while actually
feeling incredibly
comfy.

I paired them with a basic white crop top and plaid shirt around the waist, which she suggested for more
of a laid back
feel, but then
dressed it up a tad with these fabulous Stuart Weitzman heels, which are the most
comfiest heels ever!
Also have to give kudos to Kohls — I bought a charcoal grey cable knit sweater
dress for $ 50 (which I thought was a bit pricey, but it
felt so
comfy and fit perfectly) and sure enough, I wear it all
of the time.
And, it's one
of my favorite
dresses and one
of my favorite
comfy styles that LOOKS like I'm
dressed up, but I actually
feel like I'm sorta wearing PJs (or something).
Dressing up a pair
of gym like, chiffon shorts, with a blazer, is quite possibly the easiest way to look refined, yet
feel comfy.
The fabric composition
of this piece gives it a subtle stretch, making it ultra
comfy to wear - I don't
feel restricted in this
dress at all.
