One of my favorite ways to do this is to wear
a comfy pair of socks.

I have dozens
of pairs of compression stockings and was happy to find a normal looking
sock that was also
comfy mainly for lounging around the house and maybe when golfing in the cooler months.
Really they don't need much since they stay swaddle up so warm in the hospital but I do recommend bringing a simple long - sleeve onesie (I like the side - snap tees to allow the umbilical cord area to breathe and mitten cuffs to keep baby from scratching herself) then also maybe a
pair of pants or some
socks and also a
comfy footed sleep n» play for the ride home.
My bag consists
of: Hair ties, makeup / makeup remover, a small bag
of mini toiletries, 2
comfy pants and 2 nursing style tops (these also double as pajamas), comfortable velour jacket and pants, 2 - 3
pair of undies (don't underestimate the mess), nursing bra,
socks, camera (charged), cash (vending machine and food).
I can't wait to step into a
comfy pair of slippers or thick
socks in the winter after a long day.
If you're fashion conscious and you want to make sure that you are following the trends, then now is the time to grab a
pair of comfy socks.
RESULT: two
pairs of wet balled up
socks and a hair dryer later... stretched toe box is perfectly
comfy!

pair of funky,
comfy socks can make somebody's day better.
If you're a budget traveler, start with one quick dry piece that you'll wear a lot (I love a good
pair of socks or a
comfy merino blend shirt that fits you well.
I work from home, where it's easy to spend the day in
socks, but putting on a
comfy pair of shoes makes it easier to stand for longer.
One son burned CDs
of his favorite music for everyone, another gave each person a
pair of great
socks (might I add they are fabulously warm and
comfy!!)
In Winter, I always have a few new
pairs of socks that I offer if somebody wants to get
comfy and just lounge.
