When the dog will reliably go to «Place» on
command around distractions, then the dog will stop barking.
There will be a test of how your dog does on leash doing basic
commands around distractions (including other dogs).

command, come when called, behave politely
around other dogs, be confident when faced with unexpected noises and other
distractions, and behave with someone other than its owner.
Once your dog is capable of performing
commands quickly and reliably
around a variety of
distractions with minimal problem solving required, then your dog and you are ready to move on to phase number two.
In five or six months, when the pup has really developed his concentration and focus, and if you have been consistent in your training, you will be able to give him the STAY
command and he will stay put even if there are
distractions all
around.
They especially need to have rock solid Sit / Stays and Down / Stays; obedient to the Come
command; and walking effortlessly on a leash
around distractions and obstacles.
Your dog will be trained seven days per week and will learn how to perform his or her obedience
commands around heavy
distractions and learn how to act more appropriately in a home setting!
It's an excellent
command for teaching them focus control
around distractions!
Italian Greyhound training should also focus on teaching the puppy the following things: how to respond to
commands, how to walk in a leash, how to look at you everytime you call his name, how to obey your SIT or STAY
command, regardless of the
distractions around him.
