commissioning works for exhibitions in its four gallery spaces.
A commissioned work for the exhibition, Jennifer Marman's and Daniel Borins» Stripped (2012), is a curtain of PVC strips across the entrance of the main gallery onto which the artists have appropriated and abstracted the visual style of document censorship and redaction.
A newly
commissioned work for this exhibition, Untitled (2009), by the Shanghai - based conceptual artist Xu Zhen is a parody of the Potala Palace in Lhasa (initially the winter residence of the 14th Dalai Lama and later converted into a museum and tourist attraction).
Three newly
commissioned works for this exhibition are also featured: Beijing - based artists Sun Xun and Guo Hongwei, and a new work by Michael Lin.

Beginning with significant historical
works from artists such as Richard Long, who was one of the first artists to make walking his art form, to Ana Mendieta, who carved and shaped her own figure into the earth and documented these private sculptural performances, to Michelangelo Pistoletto's performance, Walking Sculpture, in which he and a group of people walked a large newspaper ball down the streets of Turin, the
