These are all
things that
parents in the United States very much want their children to be able to do; everyone wants his or her kids to have
common sense, to be able to reason clearly and to be able to succeed in the world.
It is a
common thing to hear an inmate tell of a sexually or physically abusive
parent, a drug - addicted wife or a brother who was a fellow gang member.
My intent is to let other
parents know that no matter how much your child loves baseball (that is the most
