Community, we have a lot to be thankful for — it's been a great
year!
The
award is given out to the developer which has been the most beneficial to their local
community, has created the best working culture for its employees, has been an integral part
of the Australian and New Zealand
games development scene, and which has come up with the most fun, addictive and unique
games this
year.
It's also been quite remarkable to me just how closely most
of these
awards were reflected through the
community Game of the
Year voting, the results
of which were posted earlier today.
We've just opened public voting for this
year's Audience
Award, with all members
of the public and the indie
game community eligible to vote.
The Legend
of Zelda: Ocarina
of Time is legendary in gaming circles and is thought
of by many as one
of the greatest
games of the last ten
years, winning a massive amount
of awards from the gaming
community.
As well as there having been many a
game and
award for WA across the
year, the end
of 2013 also saw a surge in the number
of opportunities for the Perth
community to play some homegrown
games.
