I have a feeling that if there are upgrades, you'll get them by
completing riddler challenges which would be pretty cool.
You're even forced to
complete The Riddler's race courses.

Despite my complaints regarding how little effort seems to have gone into creating little side - narratives and gameplay designs, I did find myself
completing almost all of the side - quests, with
Riddler's being a notable exception thanks to the final step being to solve every single damn riddle in the city.
Simply
completing the story gets the first ending; the second ending includes finishing the story plus most side missions; and lastly, the third ending requires
completing the story, every side missions and snagging everything The
Riddler has placed in Gotham.
After
completing the game you can resume your saved game and just explore the whole island looking for the rest of the
Riddler's items.
If side missions aren't your thing, or you've just
completed them all, then you can amuse yourself by hunting down the ludicrous amount of
Riddler trophies hiding around the map.

complete all of the side content, including every
Riddler challenge — which, if you've done this in previous games, is a serious time commitment.
Because it's the big new gameplay feature in Arkham Knight, The
Riddler has set up a series of Batmobile time trials for you to
complete alongside some other vehicle - focused puzzle rooms.
Another much wanted addition is the chance to finally go toe - to - toe with The
