The geriatric nature of this condition is such that it may be overlooked in older cats, which may potentially suffer from
other concurrent conditions.
Diagnosis / Treatment Once consulted, your veterinarian will perform a thorough physical exam, looking carefully at your pet's ears, and may recommend diagnostic tests to look
for concurrent conditions and to rule out other disorders that mimic vestibular disease.
As such, each case we assess individually, and working with you and the surgeon, select the most appropriate procedure based on your individual pet, your goals, concurrent orthopedic conditions, and
other concurrent conditions.
Whether or not infection happens depends on the interaction of three things: host vitality (including immune experience / vaccination status), virulence of the virus (including virus strain and how many viral particles the host is exposed to), and environmental factors (other stresses and / or
concurrent conditions).
Prescription diets are not required unless there is
