The BBC is consulting on the Green question and could well change its mind: if it sticks with its original plan it will be defying over 250,000 people who have signed a petition
condemning Green leader Natalie Bennett's absence.
The cartoon has been roundly
condemned as racist by people including Professor Muriel Bamblett, AM, the chief executive of the Victorian Aboriginal Child Care Agency Co-Operative,
Greens Leader Richard di Natale and the Indigenous affairs Minister Nigel Scullion.
