Failure to comply with all
the conditions of a probation order may cancel the conditional discharge, lead to a conviction being registered, stricter sentencing and attract a new charge of breaching probation (ie.
Restitution can be
a condition of a probation order, but a «stand alone» restitution order can also be made by a judge.
The Criminal Code also allows no - communication and no - attendance orders to be made as a condition of the release of an accused person on bail (see sections 499 (2), 503 (2.1), 515 (4) and (4.2), 522) and as
