As The Colorful Kitchen has grown, one of the unexpected perks has been getting to
connect with other bloggers, organizations and companies
who have similar interests.
The nicest part of being involved in raising awareness for breastfeeding during National British Breastfeeding Week, has been

who have shared some of the most intimate experiences of breastfeeding and nurturing babies.

other reciprocally, and I've known people
who've been able to

blogger or reporter via DM whom they'd never been able to reach via email.
If we can pull any lessons from the motivations of science
bloggers, scientists
who use social media do so overwhelmingly to practice their own communication skills, to explain and communicate science to lay audiences, to foster public interest and to
connect with others.

connect with them prior to and after, thank them, talk
with readers
who leave comments, utilize your street team or
other fans to share the blog tour stops, create your own blog posts to help increase visibility about the blog tour — all that helps immensely.
I personally feel more
connected to travel
bloggers who have a home base — those people
who find ways to balance travel
with the
other aspects of life.
Like Akila, one of the first things I tell people
who want to get started is to find your tribe (
connecting with other bloggers in your field).
I love
connecting with like - minded people
who love nature and adventure as much as I do, as well as meeting
other photographers and travel
bloggers.
There are few travel
bloggers who we have
connected with as well as
with Jacki -
with a zest for life, curiosity about the world and a commitment to helping
others, she exemplifies the persona of a traveler.
Of course, relationship - building doesn't end
with local press members and
bloggers — it's also important to
connect with several
other agents in your market, including buyer's agents
who may have clients looking for a listing like yours.
I think finding people
who started at the same time as you in a similar niche perhaps (not necessarily the same exact style as you, but maybe
bloggers who all blog about homes or recipes, or family blogs or craft) is a great reason to
connect because you'll probably have all the same types of questions and same types of challenges and can share audiences
with each
other.
