For that reason, our work part from a new ethical approach based on the Freirean values
of consciousness and it promotes a democratic and accountable education in schools, where teachers attitude plays a very important role as actors democratization
of responsibility and
sustainability, they are agents
of awareness and training
of the educational community, and especially for children and young people.
Through their art, Taylor and Perry ask viewers to consider meanings and practices
of sustainability, water rights, renewable natural resources, and environmental
consciousness.
Our question today is: How can contemporary aesthetics and artistic experience — enabled by the technologies
of the moment — expand our
consciousness and help us to change the fundamental concepts that organize our reality, like creativity, technology,
sustainability, and collectivity?
While the growth
of political and corporate «green
consciousness» was an exciting development in 2006, the movement
of sustainability into the popular mindset will likely be the grease the keeps this wheel rolling into 2007.
