To combat the problem of animal overpopulation, the Volusia County Animal Control Advisory Board on Aug. 3 will
consider an ordinance that includes a rebate - program for owners who
alter their
pets, said Bill Foster, county animal control supervisor.
If they are not fixed, and you intend to have an
altered pet, you must
consider the costs of blood work that needs done prior to such a major surgery, the surgery costs themselves, preventive antibiotics as well as pain medication.
