Most people have gone past caring about 3rd party multiplats all they do is lower the value of your console in the long run as opposed to quality 3rd party exclusives like Sonic BOOM, Bayonetta2, Hyrule Warriors, ect and 1st party games that are just the best.

Ok, here's my take on it... I have both systems and can only get it for one... and the PS4 has the edge on graphics (which I have to «try» and tell which one is which by screen shots side by side) I still go with the X1 on multiplats, for me the «snap feature» BY FAR makes up for the lost graphics (that in real gameplay hardly exists to me) plus my controller of choice, plus in my experience, the network is more stable... those things push me to the X1... I have Minecraft on both and everything just flows so much better on the X1, the OS, friends, messages, party, just like it better... I mean, my PS4 dosent really feel much different than my PS3 did... but my X1 sure feels different than my 360 did... PS4 is a beast and ill play all exclusives but the everyday «workhorse» console for me is the Xbox one...

It's third party jobs to convince the install base that multiplats are worth buying on the console, by making the multiplats irresistible.

Third parties didn't make money off of the Wii U install base with their mutliplats, because those multiplats did not feature anything that made them worth getting on Wii U over any other console.

Upgrades and the initial price puts people off I just paid someone to build mine for me and I only use it for mmos mainly because all my friends get multiplat games on consoles!

i agree but sometimes i have to get multiplats on a console because none of my close friends have a high end rig like mine capable of playing games like these.

People ignore the fact that all ps3 versions of multiplat type titles all perform and look better, which erodes any argument about a consoles potential power (since all anyone has seen from the 360 is the unreal engine and uh.

and on top of that, since PS4 is a more powerful console with (currently) better dev tools than the Xbox One, multiplats like Final Fantasy XV and The Witcher 3 are bound to perform better on PS4.

Third party multiplats may not come over because they would need to make it work on Nintendo's handheld as well as the console, unlike competing systems.

Even if we forget that the X plays every multiplat better (which is like 98 % of must play games), most games doubling the pixel count over pro while maintaining better performance and more bells and whistles (and maintaining all the advantages Xbox already had)... there are still more must play exclusives for me on X than the other 2 consoles combined.

@Pongwater see the problem here is the definition of multiplat so let me revist that... by definition when we said multiplat from history we mean its either on multiple consoles like sony Ms or nintendo or PC but when a game is only on wondows 10 or xb1 family hardware is techically on a pc but not define as such but as a windows game cause it wont be available to steam or any other pc sectors or even any other version od windows that makes it still by definition an Ms exclusive cause u can only get it from microsoft UWP and never on any other thing else So is it a console exclusive?

Most soccer moms who buy consoles for little jimmy's Christmas present aren't gonna fork out to buy scorpio, especially when little jimmy actually wants a PS4 not an xbox, and superior versions of a few multiplats isn't gonna change this fact.

multiplats are just doing a better job pushing out ps4's, watchdogs, madden, fifa, all pushed ps4 consoles sales.

Plenty there for a multiplat console gamer to see the appeal of.

This is not the only way in which the wii - u falls short (1.24 GHz CPU lol) and if nintendo want to get any of the next generations multiplats after a year or so of the nextboxes and ps4s release, they are going to have to release a new console.
