I am sure that schools feel pressure to reach their adequate yearly progress (AYP) goals and administering
constant practice tests may seem like the most assured way of raising scores, but so many of the most important needs of students are compromised as a result.
Doesn't sound too onerous, but that's only part of the story, because most of the abuses of the testing are with
the constant practice testing by the schools and «benchmarking» of students to prepare for the tests, none of which is mandated by the accountability system, but that gets lost in the demagoguery.
