I hope our constitution is equipped to resolve this potential
constitutional quagmire.
Even then it raises the issue of how enthusiastic a government will be to immerse itself in
the constitutional quagmire that is the reform of the House of Lords — an issue that has dogged parliamentarians since 1911.
The fact that this cuts both ways may yet plunge New Zealand into the same
constitutional quagmire since they have essentially the same provision.
