Chambers were 500 μm wide, 100 μm high and 7 mm long, and were
constructed from poly (dimethylsiloxane) bonded to
glass coverslips.
These windows are typically
constructed from three panes of coated
glass separated by two gas - filled
chambers, each of which is more than a half - inch thick.
