construction so I did some forward planning and tried to negate this issue prior to our stay (it's right to mention this issue now — lots of previous reviews gave me concerns about this but I can honestly say that whilst you can hear the
work during the day around the poolside it's not obtrusive and we found you could hardly notice it — we didn't hear a thing by night but that may have been down to where our

The local staff
working in the restaurant, driving the speed boats, and making up the
rooms come from villages on nearby islands, and all helped
in the
construction of the resort, which is mostly furnished with handcrafted items made from driftwood materials.
Construction began

work on the interior of the historic Fort Baker buildings, former residences, offices and meeting
rooms constructed by the Army between 1901 and 1907.
The
works on view will range from smaller - scale, metal and cord
works from the late 1960s to

works by Naum Gabo, Roman Ondak, Fischli & Weiss, Lucio Fontana and Anri Sala.
Through field research and study of her
work, I have come to believe that it was through

The show includes, amongst others, Let us see if a million people can be silent, a full - scale, site - specific wall mural made of regular, diagrammatic waves, each one representing a font used to quote Fidel Castro; a series of fruit sculptures; a
room installation made with modernist reclaimed furniture; a series of
works on canvas and offset printed paper; and Years, a 6 metre high, fragile
construction of rusty steel, a partition of numbers, namely of the years 1959 to 2008
in descending order.
The trapezoidal
room curated by Julie Alexander and Sean Montogomery was a standout of the ten exhibitions, featuring
works such as Esther Ruiz's neon and cement sculptures
in conversation with Jay Henderson's seemingly living wall
constructions.

construction manager, Jason, was very impressed with her
work, and we can't thank her enough for jumping
in and making over that
room with everyone!
