Consequently, the level of access offered by the core varies from
consultation and advice
on specific aspects of
projects, through training
on particular techniques and / or instruments available in the core, to complete molecular analyses from sample preparation to final data analysis.
Modifying mainstream programs may not be the best approach and good
consultation, which relies
on strong relationships, in the planning stage of the
project, could help to identify what and where interventions could be directed and if Aboriginal specific or mainstream approaches are more appropriate to that
particular setting.
