The effect of a liquid diet
containing sodium caseinate and soy protein sources (Isocal, Mead Johnson Nutritional, Evansville, IL; 13 % crude protein, 37 % fat and 50 % carbohydrate) compared with a standard dry dog food (25 % crude protein, 8 % fat and 50 % carbohydrate) was also studied in dogs with Eck fistulas (Thompson et al. 1986).

sodium caseinate, mono & di - glycerides, citric acid,
sodium stearoyl lactylate,
sodium citrate, di - potassium phospate, natural flavor, natural and artificial colors [annatto, paprika, FD&C yellow # 5, FD&C yellow # 6, beta carotene], and carrageenan), modified food starch,
contains 2 % or less of: vinegar, dehydrated onion.
Read labels on everything you might want to eat, looking for milk, butter, dried milk, yogurt, cheese, casein, whey,
sodium caseinate, lactose (and other things that start with «lact», although
sodium lactylate is non-dairy)... Read all labels — check the bread, check the hot dogs and bologna, check things that say «non-dairy» like non-dairy creamer and Cool Whip (as mentioned above, these both
contain dairy).
