The Suffolk County Historical Society in Riverhead unveils a new
show of
contemporary photography featuring documentary and fine art
photography depicting the North Fork by three photographers.
His work has been
shown globally, including in such prestigious institutions as the California Museum of
Photography (CA), Scottsdale Museum of
Contemporary Art (AZ), Portland Art Museum (OR), Fotografie Forum International (Frankfurt), American Academy (Rome), Musee des Beaux Artes (Bordeaux), and Seoul Arts Center (Seoul) among many other venues.
Chosen for their innovative handling of photo - based media, Curtis Mann, John Opera, and Stacia Yeapnis — three emerging artists selected for volume 2 of the Midwestern Photographers Publication Project series — are featured in solo
shows at the Museum of
Contemporary Photography.
The
show comprised 96 works by 39 artists and focused on
contemporary film and
photography works from 1970 to 2007.
