control knob» (see Hank Roberts» 670), and in such a way as to have the same or nearly the same (depending on seawater chemistry and how carbonate dissolution works in buffering pH relative to sequestering CO2 from the atmosphere) effect as reducing anthropogenic CO2 emissions.
A less charitable interpretation might be that the guy who also said in June that «most likely the primary
control knob [for climate] is the ocean waters and this environment that we live in» is not that bright and
just trying to stir shit up.

control knob and that water vapor (with its lifetime of a couple of weeks)
