controls uric acid had been identified and a DNA test for normal or the mutated gene had been created.

Sadly, the RCTs looking at how this effected long term clinical outcomes had mixed results: there were some studies where glycemic
control was improved but other metabolic parameters and outcomes where not as positive (i.e.
