I'm not sure how else I can participate in the

about the abuse of power, etc., in the
churches, besides through blogging.

I'd like to share a few thoughts
about the
conversation, or lack thereof, between traditional / conservative Christian institutions (e.g.,
churches, Christian universities, Christian organizations) and the gay community.
It is easy to dismiss the women of Holy Week, to say their presence at critical moments in the Easter story is inconsequential, holding no significance in modern - day
conversations about gender equity in the

churches, reach out to the lonely and disenfranchised, address the socioeconomic issues involved, and engage in some difficult
conversations about the many factors that contribute to the abortion rate in this country, (especially birth control).
