out is then used to
cook the
onions and garlic until they're soft and fragrant.

Add the
onion to the skillet with the bacon fat and
cook over low - medium heat until well caramelized, 10 - 15 minutes (if leaving the bacon
out of the salad,
cook your red
onion in a couple
of tablespoons
of olive oil instead).
Add the garlic at the same time and
cook for 1 minute, then dip about a cup
of the water
out of the pasta pot, and put it in with the tomato paste, garlic,
onion & fennel pot and mix together.
Carefully turn the
onions over and around as they
cook in the butter and when they get some tan coloring to them and a bit crispy on the outside, take them
out (I use metal tongs) and add them on top
of the green beans.
You could coax the maximum flavor
out of them with seasoning, by toasting the rice, by
cooking them with a tiny amount
of onion and garlic in olive oil then slowly in the oven.
And because the garlic,
onions, and herbs are pre-portioned there is nothing to do but to pop them
out of the trays into your delicious
cooking meal!
Add the tomatoes,
onion, and garlic and sauté until fragrant and some
of the liquid has
cooked out, about five minutes.

out their sweet notes, which Alton amplifies with apple cider and a splash

The ratio is two parts

of celery and carrot, which is finely diced and then
