I have been buying my organic extra virgin
coconut oil online in 1 gallon pail
because I use it all the time for
cooking, baking & beauty care along
with other goodies like hemp seeds, organic almonds, etc..
This was my first time
cooking with both millet and
coconut oil; however I was confident it would work simply
because it was a Smitten Kitchen recipe.

with coconut oil before, but it had a really strong flavor (even though Im used to
cook with it); the texture was just fine, but just
because of that I will try now to prepare it again
with olive
oil.
Maybe you're familiar
with lard and
coconut oil, but I wanted to share this recipe
because it features a lesser - known saturated fat that I love to
cook with: tallow.
Crystal pointed out that olive
oil should be used in low temperature recipes (salad dressings, etc.) and
coconut oil is great to
cook with because it doesn't become damaged
with heat.
If you want more carbs, serve over
cooked white rice and mixed greens or a salad of choice, along
with a sweet potato or yam, or sweet potato fries (here's a sweet potato fry video recipe from me — and
because of the heat instability of extra virgin olive
oil, I recommend you use olive
oil or
coconut oil for your fries, not extra virgin olive
oil).
All of those changes I think are good, but I believe that in particular the increase in sat fat intake has been clearing up my acne
because I was already experimenting
with sat fat intake before finding your site and buying your book a few weeks ago and I was noticing immediate improvement on the days that I
cooked my food
with coconut oil compared to the days that I was limiting sat fat intake.
Why it's also a fantastic
cooking ingredient: «If there is a dish that you would like to

coconut oil is a great choice
because it has a lower smoke point than other oils.
I would just like to add that I have been a fairly heavy drinker over the last 7 years and have eaten butter,
coconut oil and olive
oil and abstained from canola and other seed oils where ever possible (most the time the resteraunt
cooks with seed oils
because its economical).
While I love the taste of raw
coconut oil, I don't like to
cook with it
because I can't stand
coconut oil's smell or taste when it's heated.
On
coconut oil, Giada De Laurentiis says she likes to
cook with it
because it's healthy and makes your skin look better.
We now use pastured butter, lard from pastured hogs, and centrifuged
coconut oil to
cook with because of all the terrible things we've learned about other oils, but I must admit I'm confused about butter.
