was flipping through a Vietnamese
cookbook at my library called An: To Eat: Recipes and Stories from a Vietnamese Family
Kitchen and these pork chops spoke to me.
We will
be set up at the Culinary Center in the
Kitchen Shop handing out samples and selling

As always, I tweaked Kristy's original recipe a bit to fit the current stock in my
kitchen, but the inspiration
is completely from her
cookbook.

cookbook, which I love, but during the summer when our chef steps out to visit Morning Glory Farm and grab some last minute ingredients, 9 out of 10 times he brings back monkey bars for the
kitchen staff.

was 32 weeks pregnant in the summer of 2009 (in fact, this
was overflowing on my
kitchen counter during my first meeting across town) and should have
been doing normal third trimester things like eating jars of Peanutella by the spoonful and repainting the baseboard trim (which still looks awful, not that this will surprise you), I instead decided that I really wanted to write a
