cook in vegetable stock instead of water and add in flavorings like smashed garlic, peppercorns and fresh thyme or rosemary sprigs.
But I could easily
toast the
quinoa the day before and then put it in my rice
cooker.

bring water to boil, add the
toasted quinoa, bring to a simmer, lower down the heat, cover the pot with a lid and
cook for 5 minutes.
Whip up a vinaigrette with whole grain mustard, apricot preserves, garlic, oil, and vinegar, and toss in you
cooked quinoa, chopped kale, sliced apricots,
toasted almonds, and sliced red onions.
The only
cooking required here is simmering the
quinoa and
toasting the almonds.
