Slow -
cooked bone - in, skinless
chicken thighs create the luxe flavor in this savory Italian
chicken dinner that pairs perfectly with pasta for an incredibly easy weeknight or weekend meal.
Once the
chicken is
cooked, you can serve it as is on the
bone, or do what Gina does and shred the
chicken (discarding the
bones) and put back into the sauce to create a saucy
chicken ragu.
Given the fact that the okra
cooks only a couple of minutes and the fact that any nutrients leaching from the okra are picked up by the
chicken bone broth, this is a nutritionally power - packed soup.
Then add the
chicken back the to
cooker, along with any large, easily spottable - and - removable
bones (for extra flavor).
Hubby still doesn't care for
bone in
chicken, so I used boneless skineless
chicken breasts which shortened the
cooking time.

After I deboned the

Be sure to thoroughly look through the vegetable - sauce mixture for any
chicken bones that may have separated from the meat during
cooking or removal of the
chicken.
My husband is perfectly willing to help me by spatchcocking a
chicken, which is a great way to
cook a whole
chicken, but really gross when you have to crunch through those
