When we
cook at home, though, we often like to make a
meal better on the waistline, especially if it takes no extra effort and the food still
tastes good.
By now I am almost fully pledged vegetarian (I still eat fish sometimes though, but that need decreases) As a former meat eater I enjoyed Golabki, Flaki and Pierogies, both are polish cuisines because even though I was born in Germany, half my heritage (specific: my mother) comes from Poland and I grew up with traditional polish cuisine, which still counts as comfort food to me (Omg I need to mention I tried so often to make Bigos Vegetarian without sacraficing the

The bread crumbs are also something I don't use in my
cooking so I decided to try these taters with almond
meal instead and it
tastes pretty fab.
When I photographed this
meal I used fire roasted tomatoes and added smoked paprika and a dash of Chipotle chile powder to give it a bit of slow -
cooked smokey
taste.
That doesn't mean that

tastes sweet, salty, and amazing), and do not pass up the dukkah - spiced lamb ribs, slow -
cooked then grilled, yielding charred, barky bits on the outside.
It is also an interesting experiment because making a complete
meal from scratch not only demonstrates the process of how

meal the costs are not that expensive.
With smell and
