With a new
baby and going
back to work, I didn't really want to deal with
cooking fresh food — when I was home, I wanted to snuggle with my
baby.
After we were settled
back on the bed, Michael and I spent some time gazing at our new
baby while doula Rachel
cooked us a breakfast of eggs and toast, and Pam and Monica were cleaning up after the birth.
What I failed to appreciate at the time was how useful television is when you need to
cook dinner and your toddler is pulling on the leg of your baggy sweatpants so hard you have to hold the waistband so they don't fall, the
baby is crying in the high chair and the dogs are barking at imaginary squirrels in the
back yard.
And now I am
BACK baby, and I am super excited to tell you what my dear friend and business partner Ragen Chastain and I have been
cooking up while I've been gone.
When I finally got
back home, I had a party with close friends who I hadn't seen in so long (and who gifted me with the best ugly Christmas sweater), my family, including all my extended relatives (and their adorable little
babies), and, of course, all the delicious home -
cooked meals / other cultural foods I could only find in my town.
Just like how

baby game and you got a doll which you put the Wii mote in to make it seem more realistic, I feel this option is really, really good and certainly tricked you into thinking you have a small kitten in your hands.
