Although this holds true for this original
Cooking Light recipe as well, it does give more than 16 servings (so about 1 teaspoon butter per serving and a tablespoon or so of sugar).
I followed
the Cooking Light recipe step by step.
I substituted the strawberry ice cream in
the Cooking Light recipe for chocolate and made my own fudge sauce to go in between layers and on top.
And they were all amazed that it was
a Cooking Light recipe!
There are many things in the methodology of the original
Cooking Light recipe that I changed because I found the way they did it was cumbersome and overly complicated.
I added zuccinni and double the broth and wine (thickened with soup flour) This is probably the best
Cooking Light recipe Ive ever made!
I adapted this recipe from an old
Cooking Light recipe.
I've made the mistake (with the similar
Cooking Light recipe for no bake strawberry pie - also amazing) of putting the topped pie in the freezer, and this does result in a mess, especially after it thaws.
I paired this with a peanut - coconut crust tofu (from
a Cooking Light recipe) and served over spicy yaki - soba noodles (store bought).
It reminded me a little of
a Cooking Light recipe for Baked Shrimp with Feta Cheese that I'd made for my family several times before.

I've adapted the
recipe slightly from
Cooking lights version by substituting Cheerwine (a delicious cherry cola) for the soda the
recipe called for.
