Could you use 1 cup of leftover plain mashed potatoes (mashed with almond milk) instead
of cooking a potato with water?

cook the potato mixture until the bottom is golden brown and the pancake can move in the pan, about 12 to 15 minutes.

when cooking potatoes.
Note: This recipe is made easier
by cooking the potatoes and eggs the day before, then placing in the refrigerator.
However, if you are feeding the right balance of
cooked potatoes along with meats and vegetables, your pet will be just fine.
