Reality: I have very little time to spend on
cooking these days because of the little one, so in honour of that today in collaboration with Australian Beef, I'm sharing three super quick and easy weeknight meals hero - ing my favourite protein: beef.
(I don't actually
cook all day because that would mean washing more dishes than I care to.)
I can't even get dinner
cooked these days because she cries on the floor while I cook and by the time it's time to feed her dinner she is not in a very good emotional state.
Not exact matches
What you'll find is that your best and most productive
days are when you are in a fasted state
because you don't have to think about what to eat or how to
cook it.

Because you have to
cook the beef a
day in advance, you'll get a head start on this hearty meal.
This is a simple lunch recipe perfect for a hot summer
day because it doesn't involve much
cooking.

When I do baking projects such as for the gluten free ratio rally I do get out all those more exotic ingredients
because I want to produce the right chemistry for a certain item, but that is certainly not our
day to
day cooking / eating habits, and it is nice once in a while to be able to recreate some things... but replacing gluten is certainly not our every
day goal.

In between the social events, shopping, gift - wrapping, work, school concerts,
cooking and baking, the people you live with still need three square meals a
day,
because sadly man can not live off Toblerone alone.
It would definitely save me a lot of stress
because it does get hard trying to
cook up a storm the few
days before an event and I always end up staying up really late the night before trying to get everything done!
You know those
days when you really don't feel like
cooking anything but you also don't want to spend $ 30 on some shitty take - out dinner that the kid won't eat anyway
because he actually just wanted Honey Nut Cheerios?
I feel like we HAD to have
cooked this on the same
day,
because lately I've been whipping up sweet potato / ground turkey shepherds pie like it's my JOB.
Now, into my lasagna... btw I am making two
because if I'm going to the trouble of making lasagna, I «m going to get an extra meal in the freezer for that
day when I don't want to
cook.
- White button mushrooms instead of portabellas,
because they're cheaper - Shallots instead of pearl onions,
because the first grocery store I went to didn't have pearl onions - A local craft nut brown ale instead of wine for deglazing,
because any reasonable quantity of red wine gives me a splitting headache the next
day (and if you can't drink the alcohol you're
cooking with, where's the fun in that?)
That is
because they take a full
day to
cook.
Then sometimes we just end up eating out
because when you've been in the kitchen all
day cooking you don't really want to reheat what you've made earlier in the
day.
But I really do sort of appreciate the
days like you've described
because it's just so darn cozy to snug up in the house while it's rubbish outside and enjoy the aroma of the slow
cooker all
day long!
I don't want it to be complicated
because if I'm
cooking lunch and dinner on a weekday I'll feel like all I did all
day was
cook and work with no time to relax.
That is mostly
because I am home a majority of the time but I do love the idea of
cooking once, eating twice (I never eat leftovers after the second
day though) and
cooking grains like rice ahead in advance.
Using pre-flavored chicken breasts makes this chicken dinner quick and easy to prepare,
because all you have to do is simply assemble the ingredients in your slow
cooker and let it simmer all
day.
I love gifting something homemade for my sweetheart on Valentine's
Day because its one of a kind, straight form the heart and and nothing says, «I Love you» like Overnight Creme Brulee French Toast, Slow
Cooker Chocolate Lava Cake or an indulgent Chocolate Caramel...
I should add that I seem to always be
cooking sweet potatoes these
days because my son loves them and I've noticed that they all
cook differently.
I like that
because while I love to
cook, I don't love to
cook every
day.
I did that
because of the ease of letting it
cook while I go about my
day, also
because I used all chicken breasts since I don't like bone in chicken, but chicken breasts can be dry as a bone... so the slow
cooker infused the juices into the chicken breasts.
A
day wine tasting turns into scarfing pizza down when we get home, or a
day on the lake with friends turns into ordering pizza afterwards
because we all don't want to
cook.
On that
day each year, I serve up a feast of «Once - a-Year» mashed potatoes (so called
because they are so rich and creamy you should only eat them once a year), slow -
cooked corned beef, corn, cabbage, and soda bread; and then I usually throw in something new year to year to mix things up.
This healthy, flavorful soup is loaded with tons of fresh, nutritious ingredients like spinach, carrots, celery, and onion and simmers in a slow
cooker while you're away at work so it tastes like it
cooked all
day —
because it did.
So today is the
day, thank you for your wonderfull work,
because of you I always have a great recipe when I feel like
cooking a vegeterian meal.
For the rice, I recently bought a rice
cooker (I'll post about this one
day, when I get the hang of it)
because he loves rice and I hate making it.
Always served cold
because it's
cooked the
day before we serve it at the homeless shelter.
Slow
cooker verde pork shoulder (
because it becomes nachos, burritos, tacos with zero effort) which is just a pork shoulder covered with sauteed onions, two jalapenos and a large can of Herdez verda salsa
cooked in the crock pot all
day until it becomes amazing.
The best thing about this risotto though is that it is so quick and simple to prepare
because after all you don't want to spend all Christmas
Day in the kitchen even if you are an avid
cook like me.

because even though I have been out of college a very long time I am trying to
cook more on a budget these
days with looming college expenses... I'm a year away from sending my oldest son!
I added a little water
because I was going to be away at work all
day, but I put everything together and
cooked it on low for 9 hours and it was amazing!
Because two
days ago I tried to make a version of this on my own (my family has never made stovetop mac and cheese, so I knew it was risky), and it was one of the biggest, nastiest fails in recent
cooking memory.
I came very close to buying it the other

cooker recipes are great
because most have minimal «hand's on»

I really like the idea of just having to bake it in the morning — and having it all done at once (A couple of
days ago I was making a standard type of French toast,
cooking the slices individually, and ended up burning it somewhat
because I had to take a phone call.
For long summer
days, pizza has never been a favorite for me to
cook,
because I just can't get into making the crust.
I used half butter and 1/2 coconut oil to coat the sweet potatoes just
because I'm
cooking w / coconut oil more these
days.
(I am addressing baking specifically
because grain free every
day cooking is more familiar and easier than BAKING grain free)
This one is so simple
because after browning the meat, you just pile everything in a slow -
cooker and let it
cook away for the
day.
Just made a stovetop version of this
because it sounded so good but I didn't have the full
day for a slow
cooker.
Modifications were: - used traditional oats
because I didn't have quick
cook, just gave them a quick zap in the Nutribullet and kept 1/4 cup unground for texture - omitted hemp seeds
because I don't have those - unsweetened applesauce instead of bananas (love bananas but wanted my blueberries to have center stage)- I'm not vegan so I used 2 medium eggs - replaced 1 tbsp peanut butter with mayo (love peanut butter but not necessarily mixed with other flavors)- threw in maybe 1/2 tsp chia seeds just for grins Baking time was right around 35 minutes in a 8 × 8 Pyrex baking dish and I left them to cool all
day and cut them into 9 bars this evening.
Because of the savoury nature of these pancakes, you could
cook a batch for breakfast and snack on it the rest of the
day.
