I currently feel that I do best on my own (non-named) gut healing protocol which includes tons of veggies, some fruit, eggs on a rotational basis (as I suspect a sensitivity), lots of bone broth, no dairy except occasional
cooking with ghee, no refined sugar except the occasional bit of dark chocolate, no grains except the occasional serving of quinoa that has been soaked for 6 - 8 hours, and limiting alcohol intake.
I have been dying to try
cooking with ghee and today I finally got the chance!
Whether it's eating an avocado, drizzling olive oil over your salad, or
cooking with ghee, you can easily reach this goal by making sure you include at least one type of healthy fat at every meal.
This is then rolled out as flatbreads (poli) and
cooked with ghee on a hot griddle or tawa.
As far as the cooking fats go, if you like to
cook with ghee or clarified butter, you can substitute that, or even coconut oil.
Others, like stir fry dishes, taste too heavy when
cooked with ghee alone.
Your quinoa should always be hot and
cooked with some ghee or olive oil so it does not taste too dry.
I have a question about the 1 tbsp of ghee in the breakfast recipes, do
I cook with the ghee or eat it as a side?
I cook with Ghee, Coconut oil, Lard etc but am still not getting enough calories.

Puran poli are basically special flatbreads filled
with a sweet lentil mixture and
cooked in a liberal dose of
ghee.
The sauce is 1 point, the pork was 4 points, and
with the
ghee (1) the mushrooms
cooked in, the protein portion of the plate also was 6 smart points.
This chicken is
cooked with chicken fat or butter /
ghee / coconut oil, and is super crispy and flavorful
with Cajun seasonings, garlic, and coconut cream.
I really like that she eats chicken skin and pork crackling and even
cooks with bacon lard coconut oil and
ghee.
Cook and season your protein and veggies
with healthy primal fats, such as
ghee, coconut oil, avocado oil, extra virgin olive oil, or animal fat from well - raised animals.
As always, I
cook my shrimp separately
with a heaping of
ghee for the pleasant buttery texture.

cook these in a cast iron skillet
with about a tablespoon of melted
ghee.
The best
ghee on the market, when they say NO lactose they mean it - ZERO GI distress from this
ghee, I bake
with it,
cook with it, you can do everything
with it, except keep it in the pantry - my advice: BUY 2 you will run out faster than you realize, it's just that good!

Because there are no milk solids that have the potential to burn,
ghee has a smoke point of 485 °, meaning you can
cook with it over very high heat.
Making your own
ghee is very easy and you will end up
with a delicious fat that is very suitable for high - temperature
cooking or frying.
Chicken pieces are
cooked in
ghee, shallots, fresh garlic, and smoked paprika, then tossed

I prefer to stick
with coconut oil, avocado oil, and
